President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social today, April 13, 2026, claiming that Iran’s Navy has been “completely obliterated,” with 158 ships now lying at the bottom of the sea.

Trump wrote: “Iran’s Navy is laying at the bottom of the sea, completely obliterated – 158 ships.”

He added that the only vessels the US has not targeted are Iran’s small number of “fast attack ships,” which he described as not posing a significant threat. However, he issued a strong warning: “If any of these ships come anywhere close to our BLOCKADE, they will be immediately ELIMINATED, using the same system of kill that we use against the drug dealers on boats at Sea. It is quick and brutal.”

Claim on Drug Interdiction

Trump also claimed that 98.2% of drugs coming into the United States by ocean or sea have now stopped, crediting US naval operations.

He concluded the post with: “Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DJT.”

The statement comes as indirect Iran-US talks continue in Islamabad and the fragile two-week ceasefire remains in effect. Trump’s remarks highlight the scale of damage inflicted on Iranian naval capabilities during the conflict while reinforcing a tough stance on any remaining Iranian naval activity near the US-imposed blockade in the region.
