Air India has introduced a series of festive culinary offerings across its inflight services and airport lounges, aiming to showcase India’s cultural diversity through food.
The airline announced that traditional dishes linked to Eid-ul-Fitr, Navratri and Gudi Padwa will be served to passengers across its domestic and international network.
As part of Eid celebrations, Air India will serve Sheer Khurma across all flights departing on 20 March 2026. The dessert will be available across all cabin classes and routes, including domestic, international and return-catered sectors.
On flights with multiple meal services, the dessert has been included in the main meal service, while refreshment services will continue as per the scheduled menu. The rollout is being implemented through catering partners including TajSATS, Oberoi Flight Services, Casino Air Caterers and Flight Services (CAFS), and Ambassador’s Sky Chef (ASC).
Beyond inflight offerings, the airline has also curated festive menus at its lounges. The Maharaja Lounge at Delhi International Airport is serving a Navratri thali featuring items such as Sabudana Khichdi, Paneer Sabzi and Kheer.
Meanwhile, the Adani Lounge in Mumbai marked Gudi Padwa on 19 March with traditional sweets including Shrikhand and Mawa Modak. It will also serve a special Eid menu on 21 March, featuring dishes such as Dal Ghost, Kacchi Murg Biryani and Shahi Tukda.
“This initiative reflects Air India’s ongoing focus on enhancing customer experience by blending service excellence with India’s cultural richness, creating meaningful, immersive moments for customers across its global network.”
