Acme Solar Holdings shares moved higher by over 2% after the company announced the successful commissioning of the second phase of its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Rajasthan. The development marks a key step in the company’s expansion within India’s growing energy storage segment.

The project has been executed through its wholly owned subsidiary, Acme Surya Power Private Limited. With the latest phase now operational, an additional capacity of 35.714 MW / 160.48 MWh has been added to the overall project.

The BESS facility is located in Jaimalsar village in the Bikaner district of Rajasthan and forms part of a larger project with a planned capacity of 250 MW / 1103.392 MWh. Following the commissioning of this phase, the total operational capacity of the project has reached 95.714 MW / 430.086 MWh.

The company confirmed that the commercial operation date (COD) for the newly commissioned phase is scheduled for March 26, 2026. This milestone reflects continued progress in the phased development of the project.

Battery Energy Storage Systems play a critical role in stabilising power supply by storing excess energy and supporting grid demand during peak hours. The expansion of such infrastructure aligns with broader efforts to strengthen renewable energy integration and improve grid reliability in India.
