Dune: Prophecy Season 2 has been officially announced by HBO and is presently in production, with a release window set for 2026 on HBO and Max. Nevertheless, the precise date of the debut has not yet been disclosed.

Production began in late 2025 (about November), with filming taking place across Hungary, Jordan, and Spain. The show was also featured in HBO’s 2026 programming teaser. In December 2025, a short first-look video of Valya Harkonnen arriving on Arrakis was released, indicating a significant change in the plot.

Dune: Prophecy Season 2 Potential Plot

Season 2 continues up after the Season 1 conclusion, which ended with Valya, Keiran, and Ynez going for Arrakis, laying the stage for a much bigger and more perilous portion of the story.

The short first-look video suggests early ideological or cultural groupings associated with Arrakis by showing Valya meeting with figures wearing elaborate gold robes.
