The January performance follows a steady trend seen in the previous month. Gross GST collections in December 2025 stood at Rs 1,74,550 crore, marking a month-on-month increase and a 6.1% rise compared with December 2024.

In December, collections were led by Integrated GST (IGST) at Rs 98,894 crore, followed by State GST (SGST) of Rs 41,368 crore, Central GST (CGST) of Rs 34,289 crore, and cess collections of Rs 4,238 crore.
