Ran Baas, The Palace, Patiala has completed its first year of operations, marking one year since its launch in January 2025 as Punjab’s first luxury heritage palace hotel, according to a regulatory filing by Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels with the stock exchanges on Wednesday, January 22, 2026.
The company informed the National Stock Exchange of India and BSE Limited that the property has completed twelve months of operations, during which it has positioned itself as a heritage-led luxury destination through restoration, design, and cultural programming. The press release stated that the hotel has received multiple national and international recognitions during the year for heritage conservation and design-led restoration.
According to the disclosure, Ran Baas, The Palace is a member of Relais & Châteaux and has been recognised by platforms including UNESCO’s Prix Versailles, One Michelin Key, AHEAD Asia, Condé Nast Traveller, and Architectural Digest. The company said these recognitions reflect the property’s positioning within the global heritage luxury hospitality space.
The filing also highlighted the hotel’s role in reviving Patiala’s cultural and tourism visibility through curated events such as Sur Mahal, pop-up fairs, and cultural showcases. Culinary offerings at Neel and The Patiala Bar, along with wellness experiences at Aura Spa and curated cultural engagements, were cited as part of the hotel’s experiential approach.
Commenting on the milestone, Priya Paul, Chairperson of Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels, said the property reflects the group’s historical connection with Punjab and its approach to heritage-sensitive development. Vijay Dewan, Managing Director, added that the hotel recorded a mix of domestic and international guests and sustained demand across leisure, celebrations, and experiential travel segments in its first year.
The company stated that in 2026, the palace plans to continue its cultural engagement through initiatives such as Saras Mela, Patiala Gharana events, literary programmes, and another edition of Sur Mahal.
