Against this backdrop, several Nifty 50 constituents emerged as top losers during the session.
Eternal was the biggest laggard on the index at midday. The stock was trading at ₹278.70, down 1.7% from the previous close, reflecting sustained weakness in intraday trade.
SBI Life Insurance also featured among the top losers. Shares of the insurer were quoted at ₹2,031.00, registering a decline of 1.2% compared with the previous closing price.
Titan Company slipped 1.2% in midday trade. The stock was trading at ₹4,031.90, underperforming the broader market amid muted sentiment in select consumer-facing stocks.
Max Healthcare Institute traded lower by 0.6% at ₹998.20. The stock remained under pressure during the session, moving in line with the broader weakness seen in healthcare counters.
ICICI Bank declined 0.4% to ₹1,343.60 in midday deals. The stock traded in the red even as banking indices showed mixed trends.
Jio Financial Services was marginally lower, trading at ₹262.70, down 0.2% from its previous close during the noon session.
Eicher Motors slipped 0.2% to ₹7,124.50. The stock showed mild intraday weakness despite limited movement in the auto pack.
HDFC Bank was trading at ₹918.80, lower by 0.2% at midday, tracking subdued sentiment in heavyweight banking stocks.
Apollo Hospitals Enterprise declined 0.2% to ₹6,816.00, remaining among the underperformers on the Nifty 50 during the session.
Reliance Industries edged down 0.1% to ₹1,403.40, trading marginally lower in line with the broader market weakness.
