Clash between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders was one important match to decide a playoff qualifier. While both the teams gave in their all, KKR stood superior. After setting a 191 run score for RR to chase, RR didn’t prevail as victorious. Losing all their batsman, KKR won by a huge margin of 60 runs.
Another spectacular moment of the match saw Dinesh Karthik taking a stunning catch to dismiss Ben Stokes. The English batsman has been a match winner for the side but was disappointed to get dismissed early.
Stokes started off well and hit a six before getting dismissed off a Pat Cummins delivery. It was not an easy catch as the ball drifted away from the wicketkeeper. Karthik jumped and plucked the ball mid air with a single hand.
Reacting to Karthik’s catch former Sri Lanka wicket-keeper batsman Kumar Sangakkara said : “Ben Stokes couldn’t believe it and neither can we in the commentary box.” Very soon after the dismissal the batting order collapsed leading to a defeat fr RR.
