The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) has informed market participants that January 15, 2026 will be observed as a settlement holiday on account of the Municipal Corporation Elections in Maharashtra.

As per the exchange’s notification, there will be no settlement activity for T+0 settlement number 2026511 on January 15, 2026. While trading activities may continue as per normal exchange schedules, the settlement process for this specific cycle will remain suspended for the day.

Market members, brokers, and clearing participants are advised to take note of this development and plan their fund movements, margin requirements, and settlement-related obligations accordingly to avoid any operational issues.

The settlement holiday applies only to the settlement process and does not automatically imply a full trading holiday unless separately notified by the exchange. Participants are encouraged to stay updated with further circulars or clarifications issued by the NSE.
