RailTel Corporation of India Ltd has received a major work order from the Public Financial Management System, strengthening its position as a key technology and digital infrastructure partner for government-led projects in India.
As per the official disclosure, the order has been awarded by PFMS, a domestic entity, and involves the establishment and managed operations of advanced IT infrastructure. The scope of work includes setting up Data Center (DC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) infrastructure, Security Operations Centre (SOC) services, along with data center colocation facilities. The contract covers both supply and services, highlighting RailTel’s end-to-end capabilities in mission-critical IT and network solutions.
The total consideration for the work order stands at ₹1,01,82,38,520, making it a significant contract for RailTel. The project is scheduled to be executed over a long-term horizon, with completion timelines extending up to January 7, 2031.
RailTel has clarified that the work order has been awarded by a domestic government platform and does not involve any promoter or promoter group interest. The contract also does not fall under related party transactions.
