Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid are set to face off in one of the standout ties of the Spanish Supercup as both sides named their lineups ahead of the semi-final match at King Abdullah Sport City Stadium.

Real Madrid, who arrive in Saudi Arabia under pressure after mixed results in recent weeks, have been handed a blow with the confirmed absence of star forward Kylian Mbappé due to a lingering knee injury. The Frenchman will continue his recovery in Spain, leaving manager Xabi Alonso to proceed without his marquee attacker. In his absence, young forward Gonzalo García has been given a starting role, rewarded for his impressive hat-trick in Real’s 5–1 La Liga win over Real Betis.

Alonso’s predicted lineup sees Thibaut Courtois in goal behind a back line featuring Fede Valverde, Raúl Asencio, Antonio Rüdiger and Álvaro Carreras. The midfield is anchored by Eduardo Camavinga and Aurélien Tchouaméni, with Jude Bellingham pulling the strings further forward. On the flanks, Vinícius Jr. and Rodrygo provide the pace and creativity that Real will rely on to challenge Atlético’s defence.

Real Madrid predicted XI: Courtois; Valverde, Asencio, Rüdiger, Carreras; Tchouaméni, Camavinga, Bellingham; Rodrygo, Vinicius and Gonzalo.

Atlético de Madrid predicted XI: Oblak, Llorente, Pubill, Hancko, Ruggeri, Barrios, Koke, Baena, Simeone, Julian Álvarez, Sorloth.
