United Breweries Limited on Wednesday announced the launch of Kingfisher Smooth Strong Premium Beer in Rajasthan, with effect from January 7, 2026, according to a regulatory filing submitted to the stock exchanges .

The company informed that the product launch has been disclosed under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015. The current rollout is focused solely on the domestic market, with Rajasthan chosen as the launch state.

Kingfisher Smooth has been positioned within the mainstream strong beer segment, a category that continues to account for a large share of beer consumption in India. The product is brewed using imported hops and contains no added sugar, with the company highlighting a smoother and more balanced drinking profile while retaining strength.

Commenting on the launch, Vivek Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of United Breweries Limited, said that Kingfisher Smooth represents a strategic expansion of the Kingfisher portfolio aimed at younger legal-age consumers, backed by extensive research, design, and consumer testing. He added that the innovation reflects the company’s focus on brand investments and category development.

Vikram Bahl, Chief Marketing Officer, noted that evolving drinking occasions have led consumers to seek more approachable strong beers, and Kingfisher Smooth addresses this shift without compromising on familiarity.

The product will be available across leading retail outlets in Rajasthan and will be priced at Rs 100 for a 330 ml bottle, Rs 145 for a 500 ml can, and Rs 185 for a 650 ml bottle, the company said.
