Shares of RailTel Corporation of India Limited climbed more than 2% in early trade after the company announced it had received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for a major digital healthcare project in Assam. As of 9:24 AM, the shares were trading 1.74% higher at Rs 377.40.
The LoA has been awarded by Assam Health Infrastructure Development & Management Society (AHIDMS) for the procurement, implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive Hospital Management Information System (HMIS). As per the filing, the estimated value of the contract stands at ₹56.71 crore.
The project involves end-to-end execution, covering system implementation as well as long-term operations and maintenance. The contract period extends up to January 31, 2032, giving RailTel a steady, multi-year revenue stream from the healthcare IT segment. Such long-duration contracts typically enhance earnings visibility and support order book stability.
RailTel also clarified that the order has been awarded by a domestic entity and does not qualify as a related-party transaction.
