Deepti Sharma becomes the leading wicket-taker in Women’s T20Is
India all-rounder Deepti Sharma created history during the fifth T20I in Thiruvananthapuram by becoming the highest wicket-taker in Women’s T20 Internationals. Deepti claimed her 152nd T20I wicket in 133 matches, surpassing Australia’s Meghan Schutt (151 wickets). Pakistan’s Nida Dar remains third with 144 scalps.
In the process, Deepti became:

Smriti Mandhana crosses 10,000 international runs, dominates 2025
Smriti Mandhana enjoyed a landmark series and year:
- Scored 1,703 international runs in 2025, the most by any woman batter in a calendar year
- Crossed 10,000 international runs, becoming only the fourth woman and second Indian to do so
- Achieved the milestone in 280 innings, the fastest ever, bettering Mithali Raj’s 291 innings
Mandhana also:
- Became the second woman to cross 4,000 T20I runs
- Reached the mark in the fewest balls (3,227)

India Women post their highest-ever T20I total
India Women smashed 221/2 in the fourth T20I, their highest-ever T20I total, surpassing the previous best of 217/4. This was also:

Her unbeaten 79 in the third T20I accounted for 68.69% of India’s runs, the highest percentage contribution by an Indian woman in a completed T20I innings.

- 79 wins as T20I captain, the most by any woman skipper
- 12 Player of the Match awards, joint-most for India Women
