Waaree Energies on Monday informed stock exchanges that its Whole-Time Director and Chief Executive Officer Amit Paithankar has tendered his resignation, with the board approving a structured leadership transition. The resignation will be effective from May 15, 2026, or an earlier mutually agreed date, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The board has appointed Jignesh Rathod, currently Director – Operations, as Chief Executive Officer–Designate with immediate effect. Rathod will formally take over as CEO and Key Managerial Personnel from May 16, 2026, following Paithankar’s exit.

Board acknowledges Paithankar’s contribution

Waaree Energies stated that Paithankar has stepped down to pursue opportunities outside the organisation. The board placed on record its appreciation for his leadership, noting that during his tenure the company strengthened its operational capabilities, expanded its manufacturing footprint and laid a robust foundation for long-term growth .

Paithankar, in his resignation letter, confirmed that he will be joining Saarv Solutions Private Limited as a co-founder and expressed willingness to serve the full notice period or exit at a mutually convenient date .

Jignesh Rathod to take charge after transition period

Rathod has been associated with Waaree Energies since November 2007 and brings over 18 years of experience across manufacturing operations, capacity expansion, process optimisation and technology integration. He currently oversees end-to-end operations across the company’s manufacturing facilities and has played a key role in scaling production capacities and improving operational efficiencies.

The board said the internal succession plan ensures leadership continuity, operational stability and strategic momentum, while reaffirming the company’s commitment to strong governance and long-term value creation .

The meeting of the board concluded at 5:40 pm, and the company confirmed that the required disclosures under SEBI’s Listing Regulations have been made to the exchanges.
