Rohit Sharma is not playing today for Mumbai in their Vijay Hazare Trophy third-round match against Chhattisgarh. The Indian captain has been rested, in line with the pre-decided plan that limited his participation to only the first two matches of the tournament.
Mumbai won the toss and opted to field, but Rohit’s name does not feature in the Playing XI for today’s game at the Jaipuria Vidyalaya Ground, Jaipur.

Rohit Sharma had already completed his scheduled appearances, having played two matches for Mumbai earlier in the competition. He made a strong impact with a brilliant 155 in his first game before registering a golden duck against Uttarakhand.
As per reports, Rohit will not play any further matches in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and is expected to join the Indian team setup ahead of the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand starting January 11.
For today’s match, Mumbai are playing without Rohit Sharma and have taken the field first after winning the toss.
