Virat Kohli was dismissed for 77 off 61 balls, ending another commanding knock in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The Delhi batter struck 13 fours and one six, once again controlling the innings before falling with Delhi at 101/3 after 20 overs at the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground in Bengaluru.
Kohli’s innings followed a fluent start, where he anchored Delhi’s top order after Gujarat opted to bowl. His dismissal slowed Delhi’s momentum slightly, with Rishabh Pant at the crease as the innings moved into the middle phase.
Earlier in the tournament, India’s senior duo Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma made a strong return to domestic one-day cricket. Chasing 299 against Andhra Pradesh, Kohli scored 131, while Rohit Sharma dismantled Sikkim’s attack with a blistering 155 off 94 balls in Jaipur during a chase of 237. Although their first appearances were neither televised nor streamed, their form has been one of the biggest talking points of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 so far.
Kohli’s consistency across games continues to underline his impact in the competition as Delhi look to build a competitive total against Gujarat.
