Shares of Shakti Pumps (India) are in focus after the company announced that it has received a work order worth around Rs 65.20 crore (inclusive of GST) from Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited, according to an exchange filing on December 24, 2025 .
The order involves the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 1,897 stand-alone off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems across the state of Madhya Pradesh. The project has been awarded under Component-B of the PM-KUSUM scheme, which focuses on promoting solar-powered irrigation solutions for farmers.
As per the disclosure, the base order value stands at Rs 59.88 crore, with the total contract value rising to Rs 65.20 crore including GST. The company stated that the entire order is required to be executed within 120 days from the date of award.
Shakti Pumps clarified that the order has been awarded by a domestic entity, and that neither the promoter nor promoter group has any interest in the awarding authority. The transaction also does not fall under related-party transactions, as per the details shared in the filing.
The latest order adds to Shakti Pumps’ presence in government-led renewable and solar irrigation projects under national schemes, as per the information disclosed to stock exchanges.
