Shares of JD Cables Limited moved higher by over 3% after the company announced the receipt of a major EPC infrastructure order linked to a key National Highway development project in Jharkhand. The order has been awarded by Kaushal Engineering Limited, marking a significant addition to JD Cables’ execution pipeline.
Under the contract, JD Cables will carry out balance civil and electrical works for the six-laning of the Bihar–Jharkhand Border (Chordaha to Gorhar section) of NH-2, covering a stretch from Km 249.525 to Km 320.810. The scope includes construction activities related to the Chauparan Flyover, Barkatha Flyover, a Road Over Bridge (ROB), and associated electrical works. The project will be executed under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) model as part of NHDP Phase V.
The total contract value stands at approximately ₹243.99 crore, inclusive of GST at 18%, approved change of scope, and price escalation. The value also factors in all applicable taxes, duties, labour cess, and royalty on materials, structured on a back-to-back basis in line with the main contract. Any future change in law by the Government of India or the Government of Jharkhand will be addressed as per the provisions of the primary agreement.
The project is scheduled to be completed within one year from the date of execution of the agreement.
