Brazilian wonderkid Endrick has completed a short-term loan move from Real Madrid to Olympique Lyon, with the French club securing his services until June. The deal is a straight loan agreement and does not include any buy option, meaning the 18-year-old forward is set to return to the Santiago Bernabéu at the end of the season.

Lyon confirmed that Endrick will wear the No. 9 shirt during his six-month spell in Ligue 1, as the club looks to strengthen its attacking options for the remainder of the campaign. Real Madrid have sanctioned the temporary switch to ensure the highly rated striker gains regular first-team minutes and valuable European experience.

Importantly, the agreement includes no purchase clause, underlining Madrid’s long-term commitment to Endrick. The Spanish giants view the Brazil international as a key part of their future plans and are keen for him to continue his development through consistent game time rather than a permanent move away.

According to reports, Lyon have also accepted a performance-related penalty clause requested by Real Madrid. If Endrick does not feature in a certain number of matches during his loan spell, the French club could face financial penalties, highlighting Madrid’s insistence on meaningful playing time for the teenager.
