West Indies pace-bowling all-rounder Jason Holder was sold to Gujarat Titans for Rs 7 crore at the IPL 2026 mini-auction, following a competitive bidding battle involving Chennai Super Kings and GT. Holder had entered the auction with a base price of Rs 2 crore, but strong interest from franchises pushed his price sharply higher.

Holder is a proven IPL campaigner and brings valuable experience with both bat and ball. Across his IPL career so far, the all-rounder has played 46 matches, scoring 259 runs at an average of 12.33, while picking up 53 wickets at a bowling average of 27.57, with best figures of 4/52.

The tall Caribbean all-rounder has represented multiple franchises over the years. His IPL journey includes stints with Chennai Super Kings (2013), Sunrisers Hyderabad (2014, 2020–21), Kolkata Knight Riders (2016), Lucknow Super Giants (2022) and Rajasthan Royals (2023). His most productive phase came with Sunrisers Hyderabad during the 2020 and 2021 seasons, where he made a strong impact as a replacement player.

Holder has previously commanded big money at the auction table, fetching Rs 8.75 crore from Lucknow Super Giants in 2022 and Rs 5.75 crore from Rajasthan Royals in 2023. Despite being in solid T20 international form, he was released by Rajasthan Royals ahead of the 2024 season and went unsold in both the 2024 and 2025 auctions.

Gujarat Titans’ decision to invest Rs 7 crore in Holder underlines their intent to strengthen the all-rounder department with an experienced international option ahead of IPL 2026.
