Sergio Reguilón has officially completed a move to Major League Soccer side Inter Miami, bringing an end to his difficult spell at Tottenham Hotspur. The Spanish left-back joins the MLS champions as a free agent, with the deal now sealed and confirmed.
Reguilón’s decision comes after a frustrating period in north London where regular game time proved hard to come by. Despite arriving at Tottenham in 2020 with high expectations following impressive performances at Sevilla and Real Madrid, the 27-year-old struggled to cement a consistent starting role. Loan spells away from the club further highlighted his uncertain status in Spurs’ long-term plans.
With his contract situation resolved, Reguilón had several options on the table, but Inter Miami emerged as his preferred destination. The defender was keen on the project being built by the Florida-based club and ultimately chose the MLS over other proposals, a decision that had been hinted at earlier and is now finalized.
