AWL Agri Business Limited — formerly known as Adani Wilmar Limited — has informed the stock exchanges that it has received a penalty order from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of State Tax, Cuttack, under the Odisha Goods & Services Tax Act. The disclosure was made on December 12, 2025, through a regulatory filing submitted to BSE and NSE.
According to the filing, the penalty has been imposed under Section 73 of the Odisha GST Act, with the Deputy Commissioner issuing a demand order related to excess refund under Section 54 of the CGST Act, amounting to Rs 94,11,096. The company received the order on December 11, 2025, the same day it was issued.
Company to appeal; says operations remain unaffected
AWL Agri Business stated that it is taking “appropriate steps to appeal” against the order before the relevant authority. Importantly, the company clarified that it does not foresee any material impact on its financials, operations, or other business activities due to this penalty.
The disclosure was made pursuant to Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements), 2015, which mandates listed companies to report significant regulatory actions to the exchanges.
