RRP Defense Limited (BSE: 530929) has announced a major strategic collaboration with Israel-based Meprolight Ltd., a global leader in electro-optics, night-vision solutions, and weapon-sight systems. The move marks a significant step toward strengthening India’s defence innovation ecosystem with next-generation technologies aligned with the Government of India’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.
The partnership aims to bring Meprolight’s advanced product line to the Indian market through a combination of local distribution, assembly, technology integration, and eventual localisation. Both companies will be working closely to shape a long-term roadmap that enhances India’s capability in high-performance electro-optic systems.
As part of this collaboration, RRP Defense and Meprolight will jointly handle the sales and distribution of Meprolight’s weapon sights and electro-optic solutions for military and law-enforcement customers across India. The two organisations will co-develop pricing structures, commercial strategy, and payment frameworks designed to make advanced battlefield technologies more accessible to Indian defence agencies.
A key highlight of the agreement is Meprolight’s commitment to transferring critical technologies to RRP Defense. This will support assembly, testing, and integration of advanced optical systems at RRP Defense’s Mahape facility. Over time, this capability will expand to include local manufacturing of select electro-optics using indigenous components supplied through RRP Electronics and other ecosystem partners.
