Tottenham Hotspur fans witnessed an emotional evening at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as club legend Heung-Min Son returned to North London to bid farewell after a decade of unforgettable service. The forward, who spent 10 years at Spurs and became one of the most cherished figures in the club’s modern history, received a moving tribute ahead of the team’s 3–0 win over Slavia Prague.
Son, who was in attendance to watch the friendly clash, was welcomed with thunderous applause as he stepped onto the pitch before kick-off. Dressed warmly and carrying a Spurs-branded microphone, he addressed the supporters with a heartfelt message that left the stadium teary-eyed.
“I hope you guys haven’t forgotten me,” Son said with a smile that quickly turned emotional. “It’s been an amazing, incredible 10 years. I just wanted to say thank you. I will always be Spurs, and always with you.
He went on to describe Tottenham as his “home,” promising that he would “never forget” the club or its supporters. Thousands in the stands rose to their feet in appreciation, chanting his name as he waved to all four corners of the ground.
