JSW Steel has announced its consolidated crude steel output for November 2025 at 24.39 lakh tonnes, marking a 5% year-on-year increase, according to a press release submitted to the exchanges on December 9. The company reported that Indian operations contributed 23.61 lakh tonnes, while JSW Steel USA – Ohio produced 0.78 lakh tonnes during the month.
The company stated that capacity utilisation in India stood at 84%, impacted by the temporary shutdown of Blast Furnace 3 at the Vijayanagar plant for an ongoing capacity upgrade from 3 MTPA to 4.5 MTPA. Excluding BF3, capacity utilisation for November was close to 93%.
JSW Steel highlighted that operations across its Indian and US facilities continue to maintain stable production momentum despite shutdown-related adjustments. The company also reiterated its long-term expansion strategy, citing its domestic crude steel capacity of 34.2 MTPA and a consolidated capacity of 35.7 MTPA, which is expected to rise to 43.4 MTPA over the next three years.
The press release further noted the company’s continued focus on sustainability, innovation, and operational excellence, emphasising recognitions such as the Steel Sustainability Champion title by the World Steel Association and its Responsible Steel certifications across multiple sites.
