SPML Infra shares recorded a strong rally of over 4% after the company announced a major project win valued at ₹207.38 crore under the Jal Jeevan Mission in Rajasthan. The contract, awarded by the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Jhalawar, has been secured in a joint venture with Shree Hari Infraprojects Private Limited. This new assignment is part of the Nonera Water Supply initiative and is aimed at strengthening and modernising the drinking water infrastructure across the Kota and Bundi region.
The project covers a wide and technically demanding scope of work. SPML Infra will oversee the construction, testing and commissioning of critical water supply facilities, followed by a ten-year operations and maintenance period. The plan includes building three intake wells and three advanced water treatment plants with a combined capacity of 118 MLD. To support long-term water storage needs, the company will also set up clear water reservoirs capable of holding nearly 16.1 million litres.
A key component of the upgrade involves installing about 52.6 kilometres of pipelines with diameters ranging from 600 mm to 1300 mm. The entire network will be integrated with PLC and SCADA systems, enabling real-time monitoring, enhanced automation and significantly improved reliability. Once the project becomes operational, the improved water supply infrastructure is expected to facilitate consistent tap water connections under the Jal Jeevan Mission for more than 1.03 million residents in the Kota-Bundi belt.
