Ola has paused operations of its food delivery arm, Ola Foods, with the service no longer visible on the company’s ride-hailing app in recent days. Users attempting to place orders are also unable to do so, indicating that the pause extends across platforms, including ONDC where Ola previously operated its cloud-kitchen brands.
According to people aware of the matter, the company has temporarily halted its food business while it reviews the future of the category. Internal discussions are underway as Ola evaluates its business strategy and considers whether to revive Ola Foods at a later stage or exit the space entirely.
The pause comes at a time when the Bhavish Aggarwal-led company is reassessing several non-core segments as part of a broader restructuring. Most activities related to Ola Foods have reportedly been put on hold during this period.
Ola has not issued an official statement on the development, and further details are awaited.
