Barcelona have been dealt another significant injury blow after midfielder Dani Olmo suffered a painful shoulder dislocation during the club’s clash against Atlético Madrid on Tuesday night. The Spanish international went down clutching his shoulder shortly after scoring, with medical staff rushing onto the pitch as he grimaced in visible discomfort.

According to reports, Olmo’s latest setback means his 2025 campaign is effectively over, with the player expected to miss a minimum of three weeks. The incident occurred just moments after he had put Barcelona ahead, only to be forced off the field immediately following his goal. Despite initially attempting to continue, the midfielder was unable to move his arm properly and was substituted as physicians attended to him near the goalpost.

Barcelona’s medical team confirmed the dislocation after on-field assessment, and further tests will determine whether Olmo may require additional rehabilitation or precautionary rest beyond the initial recovery window.
