Canara Bank has announced a key senior management change with the appointment of Shri Kalyan Mukherjee as the new Chief General Manager (CGM) and Circle Head of the Hyderabad Circle, effective December 1, 2025. The update was shared through an exchange filing under SEBI LODR regulations.
Who Is Kalyan Mukherjee?
Shri Kalyan Mukherjee joined Canara Bank on March 13, 1995, and has served the institution for over three decades. He holds a B.Sc in Agriculture, along with professional certifications including:
- Composite Insurance Certification (IRDA)
- CAIIB (Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers)
Prior to this elevation, he was serving as the General Manager of the Hyderabad Circle Office.
What This Change Means
With this promotion, Mukherjee now takes over as the Circle Head of one of the bank’s key operational regions, strengthening leadership oversight for business growth, customer services, and regional performance.
Canara Bank confirmed the appointment in its regulatory communication and stated that the update is for shareholders’ and stakeholders’ information.
