Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has strongly refuted circulating rumours suggesting that several senior players in the squad are unhappy with his management and want the club to move on from him soon. Speaking after Madrid’s latest fixture, Alonso insisted that the team is fully committed and united, pushing back against claims of poor attitude or internal friction.
“La Liga is still very long. I don’t agree on players having a bad attitude, not at all,” Alonso said, addressing the speculation head-on. His comments come after a series of reports claiming unrest within the dressing room, with suggestions that some players were dissatisfied with tactical decisions and training methods.
Alonso, however, made it clear that he sees no signs of negativity within the camp. Instead, he praised the squad’s resilience, especially after a challenging run of fixtures that has tested Madrid both physically and mentally. “I really liked the players’ character tonight. We need to stay united,” he added.
