After announcing Ashnoor Kaur’s eviction, host Salman Khan took a solemn pause during Weekend Ka Vaar to honour the memory of legendary Bollywood actor Dharmendra, whose passing has deeply affected the nation and film industry.
Salman addressed the audience, speaking from the heart, “Ye hafta vaise hi jo guzra hai, vo mannatein maang kar, dua karke, prarthna karke, aansu ke saath guzra hai. Desh ko ek bohot hi bada jhatka laga hai, fans ko ek bohot hi bada jhatka laga hai, industry ko ek bada loss… I guess aap samajh rahe hai main kinki baat kar raha hu. Anyway, God bless his soul.”
Born in Punjab, Dharmendra had a film career spanning more than six decades and starred in over 300 films across genres — from action and romance to comedy. He became a beloved icon, fondly remembered for his charm and versatility.
The veteran actor passed away on 24 November 2025 in Mumbai at the age of 89, after a period of illness.
Salman added that he personally wished he was not hosting this weekend’s episode under such sad circumstances, but acknowledged that “life goes on.” His tribute served as a heartfelt reminder of Dharmendra’s contribution to Indian cinema and offered a moment of silence and respect amid the usual drama of the show.
