Liverpool manager Arne Slot has reaffirmed that he remains calm about his position at the club despite growing scrutiny following a disappointing 4–1 defeat against PSV. Speaking ahead of the upcoming clash against West Ham, Slot addressed mounting concerns and clarified that there are no plans for an immediate managerial change, as confirmed internally by the club.
Slot admitted that the recent result was “a shock,” but emphasised his determination to stay positive and focus on improvement. “My job? I am not worried. My focus is on other things than worrying about my position. I need to do better,” he said, acknowledging both the criticism and the responsibility he carries.
Despite the heavy scoreline, Slot highlighted that he saw encouraging signs from his players, particularly in the first half. “I have seen the reaction from the team yesterday,” he noted, pointing out that the intensity and attitude early in the game were in line with what is expected from Liverpool players.
However, the collapse that followed has raised questions about consistency, mentality, and adaptation under the new system. Slot didn’t shy away from admitting the scale of the challenge ahead.
