United States President Donald Trump on Wednesday dismissed a recent New York Times report that suggested he was “losing his energy,” calling the assessment inaccurate. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he had recently completed what he described as a “perfect physical exam” and a “comprehensive cognitive test,” adding that he “aced” the evaluation.
Trump said he has been working harder than ever, pointing to what he described as diplomatic and economic achievements during his presidency. He argued that the NYT article was intentionally negative and reiterated his longstanding criticism of the newspaper’s coverage of him.
He claimed that the publication consistently misrepresents his record, including on election-related topics, and said the report questioning his energy level was incorrect. Trump also criticized the article’s author and the newspaper’s editorial stance, alleging political bias.
Despite the criticism, Trump said his approval ratings remain strong and insisted that he continues to have high levels of stamina. “There will be a day when I run low on energy… but it certainly is not now,” he wrote, ending the post with a statement thanking Americans and calling to “Make America Great Again.”
