Wednesday, Nov 26 — Bharti Airtel shares will be in focus after Indian Continent Investment Limited (ICIL), a promoter-group entity, sold 0.56% shareholding — amounting to 34.30 million shares — through a market transaction. The company disclosed the update in an exchange filing on Wednesday, noting that the total deal size stood at Rs 7,200 crore.
According to the intimation submitted by the promoter entity, the transaction attracted strong demand from marquee domestic and international long-only investors, with participation from both new and existing shareholders. ICIL highlighted that most of the placement was allocated to long-only funds, reflecting sustained institutional interest in the telecom major.
The promoter group reiterated that Bharti Telecom Limited will continue to remain the primary vehicle holding the controlling stake in Bharti Airtel, aligning with its previously stated structure.
Bharti Airtel, in its stock exchange filing, confirmed receiving this intimation and requested exchanges to take the disclosure on record.
