Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories informed the exchanges that its wholly owned subsidiary Aurigene Oncology Limited has received an order from the GST Appellate Authority relating to a tax demand that includes interest and penalty.
According to the filing, the Appellate Joint Commissioner of State Tax, Hyderabad Rural Division, dismissed Aurigene’s appeal dated May 16, 2025, and upheld the demand raised under the SGST/CGST/IGST Acts, 2017, citing short payment of output tax and excess claim of input tax credit.
The order, dated November 25, 2025, was received by the company on the same day via email. The authority has imposed a penalty of Rs 3,46,998, but Dr. Reddy’s said the impact on its financials and operations is not material. The company also stated that it will evaluate filing a further appeal.
