South Africa sealed the series with a commanding performance, outplaying India in both Tests to complete a rare whitewash. The victory makes Temba Bavuma only the second South African captain after Hansie Cronje in 2000 to lead his team to a Test series win in India. Dominant spells from Marco Jansen and Simon Harmer, along with a decisive partnership between Senuran Muthusamy and Jansen earlier in the match, left India struggling to stay afloat from Day 2.
For India, the defeat marks back-to-back Test series whitewashes after their 3–0 loss to New Zealand last year. With many key batters falling cheaply in both innings, the team never looked in control as South Africa tightened their grip session after session to script a memorable away triumph.
