Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has urged fans to remain patient and optimistic despite a disappointing 3–0 defeat to Chelsea, insisting that a turning point is close as his team continues to adapt to his methods. The German manager addressed the media after the loss, offering a firm promise that supporters will soon witness a transformed Barcelona.
“You will soon begin to see a different Barça in the upcoming matches, I promise you that,” Flick said, emphasising that the squad is improving steadily behind the scenes.
Flick highlighted progress in training, revealing that the players’ intensity and overall mentality have significantly improved compared to earlier weeks. “I see how we train, and our intensity… things are different from what they were six weeks ago. I’m optimistic,” he added, backing his team to bounce back strongly despite the recent setback.
The match at Stamford Bridge took a dramatic turn when Barcelona, who had started brightly, were reduced to ten men. Flick insisted that the early phase of the game had gone according to plan. “Tonight against Chelsea we started very well and had a big chance to score the first goal… and then the red card changed the game,” he said, suggesting that the dismissal shifted momentum entirely in Chelsea’s favour.
