Manchester United manager Rúben Amorim has spoken publicly about increasing speculation surrounding the potential January departures of Joshua Zirkzee and Kobbie Mainoo, insisting that while the club will always prioritise its own interests, the transfer window remains unpredictable.
Speaking in a press conference, Amorim stressed that Manchester United’s focus remains fully on strengthening the squad rather than losing key talent. “The club comes first, it’s the number one priority. We have to think about the club and the team,” he said. The Portuguese coach added that while the immediate priority is stability and progression, “after that, anything can happen.” His comments have added fuel to rumours circulating in recent weeks linking both Zirkzee and Mainoo with potential moves away from Old Trafford.
Zirkzee, who joined United an year ago and has quickly become a crucial attacking figure, has reportedly attracted interest from multiple European giants following a strong first half of the season.
