Fans still can’t stop talking about the blood-soaked hallways of Hyosan High. The first season of Netflix’s Korean zombie thriller All of Us Are Dead exploded onto screens in January 2022 and instantly became one of the platform’s biggest non-English hits ever. Three years later, the wait for season 2 feels endless — but good news keeps trickling in.

Is All of Us Are Dead season 2 release date announced?

As of November 2025, Netflix has not announced an exact release date for All of Us Are Dead Season 2. However, multiple reports confirm the sequel is slated for a 2026 premiere. Production kicked off in July 2025, and with filming wrapping up soon, fans can expect the full 12-episode drop sometime next year—likely mid-to-late 2026 to allow for post-production polish.

All of Us Are Dead season 2 Returning Cast – Who Survived and Who’s Coming Back?

The season 1 finale left several key characters in limbo. Netflix has officially confirmed the main survivors returning:

  • Park Ji-hu as Nam On-jo
  • Yoon Chan-young as Lee Cheong-san (yes, really — more on that below)
  • Cho Yi-hyun as Choi Nam-ra
  • Lomon as Lee Su-hyeok
  • Yoo In-soo as Yoon Gwi-nam (because that guy refuses to stay dead)
  • Lim Jae-hyeok as Yang Dae-su
  • Kim Byung-chul as Lee Byeong-chan, the science teacher who started it all

New cast members announced so far include rookie actors Lee Min-ki and Jin Ho-eun in undisclosed roles, plus a special appearance from a major K-pop idol that still hasn’t been revealed.

The biggest shock? Cheong-san is back. After that heart-breaking “death” scene in the finale, photos from the set clearly show Yoon Chan-young covered in blood but very much alive. Fans lost their minds when the first behind-the-scenes images leaked in early 2025.

All of Us Are Dead season 2 Potential Plot

Season 2 picks up right after the group reaches the military quarantine camp. The virus has mutated (classic zombie rule), and half-zombies like Nam-ra now walk among humans while struggling to control their hunger.

Leaked script pages and set reports suggest the story splits into two major arcs:

  1. Life inside the camp and government experiments on “hambies” (half-human, half-zombie hybrids).
  2. A new outbreak that forces the survivors back into the ruined city — this time facing evolved, faster zombies.

Gwi-nam remains the ultimate wildcard. Word on the Korean forums says he’s basically become the zombie king, leading packs of monsters and still obsessed with finishing his fight against Cheong-san.

There’s also heavy speculation about a time jump. Some set photos show the actors with slightly longer hair and more mature styling, hinting that months (or even a year) might have passed since the rooftop rescue.
