India’s star batter Smriti Mandhana is officially engaged, and the moment could not have been more special. Her fiancé, singer and composer Palash Muchhal, proposed to her at the DY Patil Stadium, the very venue where India lifted the Women’s World Cup earlier this month.
In a video shared online, Palash is seen walking Smriti — who is blindfolded — to the centre of the pitch. When she removes the blindfold, she finds him down on one knee with a ring. The surprise left Smriti emotional and smiling as she said yes.
Palash captioned the video simply: “She said yes.”
