Shares of Escorts Kubota Ltd traded over 2% higher on Wednesday, Nov 19, after the company announced the launch of its third-generation Ride-On Rice Transplanters — KA6 and KA8 — under the Kubota brand.

The new models, engineered in Japan, have been introduced across seven key rice-growing states including Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Telangana, where demand for mechanised paddy solutions continues to rise.

Both KA6 and KA8 transplanters are powered by Kubota’s fuel-efficient 21 HP and 24 HP engines, designed to perform reliably even in challenging field conditions. They feature a smart turning system for easier handling, an automatic lift function for simpler cornering, and a multifunction control lever for effortless operation. The horizontal control mechanism ensures uniform planting depth, while redesigned planting claws reduce missed planting and improve consistency. Escorts Kubota also highlighted improved seedling-picking accuracy, aimed at boosting crop growth and yield.

The stock reacted positively to the development and was seen trading at ₹3,683.70 in early trade, up ₹75.10 for the day.
