Luis Suárez has once again expressed his enduring affection for FC Barcelona, revealing that both he and his family remain emotionally tied to the Catalan club. Speaking to Diario Sport, the Uruguayan striker opened up about his continued bond with Barça and hinted at a long-term plan that could see him return to the city he once called home.

“Are we still following Barça? Yes, always, constantly, my children too, because one does not stop being a fan or stop caring for the club,” Suárez said, emphasising that his attachment to Barcelona goes far beyond his playing days. Despite leaving the club in 2020, he suggested that the blaugrana spirit continues to live within his household.

Suárez also revealed that he and his family keep in touch with several people still working at Barcelona, a testament to the strong relationships he built during his six seasons at Camp Nou. “We’re also still having contact with people from the club. We still have a house there. Our idea is to return to Barcelona after everything,” he added, offering perhaps his clearest indication yet that a permanent return to the city is on the horizon.
