Kings Infra Ventures Limited has taken a major step toward transforming India’s aquaculture sector by signing a landmark MoU with the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The agreement paves the way for developing a ₹2,500 crore, 500-acre Kings Maritime Aquaculture Technology Park near Srikakulam, close to Visakhapatnam.

The project is designed to position Andhra Pradesh as a global hub for smart, technology-driven and sustainable aquaculture. As part of the MoU, the state government has appointed the District Collector of Srikakulam to identify suitable land and fast-track all statutory approvals, allowing Phase I operations to begin as soon as the land is finalized.

Under the plan, Kings Infra and its partners will invest about ₹500 crore directly to build the core infrastructure, including processing units, hatcheries, indoor farming systems, multi-species culture units and advanced R&D facilities. Another ₹2,000 crore is expected to come indirectly through ancillary industries, MSME participation, tank-based farming systems and renewable energy clusters.

The park is being envisioned as a first-of-its-kind aquaculture innovation hub in India, with facilities such as a marine bio-actives division, automated processing lines and an AI-driven digital operations centre. These features aim to boost productivity, sustainability and traceability across the entire aquaculture value chain.

One of the biggest highlights of the project is the Aquaculture Skill & Innovation Centre. This centre will train and certify 5,000 professionals over five years, offering hands-on exposure to modern technologies such as indoor RAS systems, IoT-enabled tanks, automated feeding, AI-based farm management and strict biosecurity practices. It will also support MSMEs through incubation, mentorship, and market access—directly aligning with the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s Vision 2030 of creating one entrepreneur in every household.

Kings Infra is also exploring collaborations with leading institutions including CMFRI, CIFE, FSI, RGCA, universities and global research bodies to strengthen research and capacity-building efforts.

A key differentiator of the project is BlueTechOS, Kings Infra’s proprietary AI-powered operating system that will be built and deployed from Vizag. The platform will enable real-time water quality monitoring, predictive disease alerts, automated feeding, machine-learning analytics and complete digital farm management. This integration makes the new Technology Park India’s first fully AI-driven aquaculture ecosystem.

The park will support multi-species culture, including shrimp (L. Vannamei and black tiger), seabass, grouper, tilapia, mud crab and other high-value freshwater and marine species. Year-round production and diversification of export markets are among its key objectives. The project also includes a dedicated Marine Nutraceutical & Bio-actives Unit to produce value-added ingredients like Omega-3 oils, marine collagen, astaxanthin and seaweed-based bioactives—reinforcing the circular economy model.
