Shares of Adani Power Ltd were trading 1.68% higher at Rs 154.40 today, November 14, after the company announced it has received a significant Letter of Award (LoA) from the Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) for a 3,200 MW greenfield ultra-supercritical thermal power project.
According to the stock exchange filing, the LoA was communicated to the company at 4:19 p.m. on November 13, 2025. The project will be set up in Assam under the Design, Build, Finance, Own and Operate (DBFOO) model, with coal linkage allocated to APDCL under the Centre’s SHAKTI policy. The entire 3,200 MW capacity will be supplied to APDCL on a long-term basis.
The project will be developed in phases, with the first 800 MW unit targeted for commissioning by December 2030, and the remaining units expected to be completed by December 2032.
Adani Power confirmed that the award is not a related-party transaction, and that APDCL is a domestic entity with no promoter-group interest. All terms fall under APDCL’s tender conditions.
