The Andhra Pradesh government is preparing to expand its IT push by offering land parcels to Accenture and Infosys for a token price of 99 paise, according to sources who spoke with CNBC-TV18. Both companies are expected to announce plans for setting up development centres in the state shortly, with a combined investment estimated at around Rs 2,000 crore.

The allotments will be made under the state’s LIFT (Location for IT Framework and Technology) Policy 4.0, which aims to boost technology-led job creation across tier-2 cities. The policy is designed to attract major global IT firms with concessional land rates and tailored incentives.

This development comes after earlier allocations to TCS and Cognizant, who have already secured land in Andhra Pradesh to expand their operations. TCS recently outlined plans for a new facility in Adibatla, while Cognizant received land in Visakhapatnam for a technology and delivery centre expected to employ several thousand people.

Officials said the latest phase of land approvals reflects the state’s intent to position Andhra Pradesh as a strong IT investment hub in South India, with incentives targeted at top-tier technology players.
