Olympique Lyon and Real Madrid are close to reaching a full agreement over a loan move for Brazilian wonderkid Endrick. The deal, first reported in October, has now been confirmed to be in advanced stages, with all parties optimistic about completing it soon.

According to reports, Endrick has given the green light for the move, expressing a strong desire to join the French side on loan. The 18-year-old forward believes Lyon is the ideal destination to gain valuable European experience and continue his development before breaking into Real Madrid’s star-studded first team.

Sources close to the negotiations reveal that the agreement will be a straight loan deal, with no buy option clause included. This means Real Madrid fully intend to keep Endrick as part of their long-term plans, viewing the temporary spell in Ligue 1 as an opportunity for him to adapt to European football in a competitive environment.

The young attacker, who officially joined Real Madrid in 2025 after turning 18, has already held direct talks with Lyon head coach Paulo Fonseca, who played a key role in convincing him about the project at OL. The club’s focus on developing young talent reportedly appealed to Endrick, who wants regular first-team minutes to continue his impressive progress.
