ACME Solar Holdings Limited (ACME Solar), one of India’s leading renewable energy companies, has secured a major win in the green energy sector. The company has been awarded a 450 MW – 1800 MWh assured peak power project under SJVN’s FDRE-IV tender on November 10, 2025, at a tariff of ₹6.75 per unit for 25 years.
The project was allocated through Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) guidelines, followed by an e-reverse auction held on October 9, 2025. ACME Solar received the Letter of Award (LoA) on November 10, marking another milestone in the company’s renewable energy journey.
According to the project terms, ACME Solar will supply power equivalent to 4 MWh per MW of capacity during any four-hour period each day within the peak demand window, ensuring 90% availability on a monthly basis.
The project combines 300 MW of solar capacity with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) of approximately 1800 MWh to deliver reliable peak-time energy. Designed specifically for peak power supply, the initiative aims to strengthen grid stability and address India’s critical peak demand challenges.
Importantly, the project will utilize night-time transmission connectivity available with ACME Solar in high-irradiation zones of Rajasthan, enhancing efficiency and maximizing resource utilization. It will also be ACME Solar’s first project to use Indian-made solar cells listed under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-II, supporting the government’s “Make in India” initiative.
Commenting on this achievement, Rahula Kashyapa, Chief Commercial Officer of ACME Solar, said: “Securing the SJVN FDRE-IV project with peak power effectively utilizes the available transmission capacity from night-time connectivity, enabling us to realize early revenue. This is a win-win for both ACME Solar and our customers, as it marks the lowest price in a pure peak power tender achieved so far.”
