The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested the television actress Preetika Chauhan as she was buying drugs. This is another part of the drug network of Mumbai which involves actors from the Bollywood Industry. She has been reported to be presented in front of the Killa Court in a while.
NCB Mumbai has assigned its officers in two areas of Versova, Mumbai through which a total of five people have been arrested so far and the operation is still underway. NCB has taken this measure after the angle of drug supply of Mumbai was recently revealed during the investigation of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death. NCB is frantically trying to get hold of as many drug peddlers, suppliers and consumers as they can.
This whole investigation began after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) found out about the WhatsApp messages in which Rhea Chakraborty was alleged of discussing drugs with a few friends of her. This was followed by Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, Shraddha Kapoor and many such big names of the Bollywood Industry coming under the eye of NCB officials.
NCB further arrested Rhea Chakraborty and her brother, Showik, for allegedly procuring drugs. However, Rhea was granted bail after a whole month of being in custody whereas Showik is still under arrest as he was in direct touch with peddlers.
