JSW Energy Limited has announced the successful commissioning of 85 MW of new renewable energy capacity, further strengthening its position as one of India’s leading green energy players. The newly added capacity includes 74 MW of solar power (part of the NHPC Hybrid Project) and 11 MW of wind power, taking the company’s total installed capacity to 13,295 MW.

With this milestone, renewables now account for 57% of JSW Energy’s total capacity portfolio. The renewable mix includes 3,720 MW of wind, 2,286 MW of solar, and 1,631 MW of hydro capacity, reinforcing the company’s commitment to driving India’s clean energy transition.

As of now, JSW Energy’s total locked-in generation capacity stands at 30.5 GW, comprising 13.3 GW operational capacity, 12.5 GW under construction, and 150 MW hydro capacity under acquisition, along with a 4.6 GW project pipeline.

In addition to generation, JSW Energy is making major strides in energy storage solutions. The company has secured 29.4 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity, including 26.4 GWh from hydro pumped storage projects and 3.0 GWh from battery energy storage systems.

Looking ahead, JSW Energy has set ambitious long-term goals—targeting 30 GW of generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by FY 2030, while also striving to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
